Double 2205 2507 stainless steel filter element

Dual phase 2205 2507 stainless steel material

Duplex 2507 is a super stainless steel designed specifically for critical applications that require excellent strength and corrosion resistance. It contains up to 26% chromium, 8% nickel, and 5% molybdenum, and has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and corrosion under general conditions.

The element content of duplex 2205 is lower than 2507, and the overall corrosion resistance is relatively low.

Super duplex 2507 has excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. At the same time, it can maintain high thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion coefficient. It also has strong resistance to organic acids such as formic acid and acetic acid.

904L stainless steel is designed to resist pure sulfuric acid. However, when treated with dilute sulfuric acid mixed with chloride ions, the corrosion resistance of 2507 is better than 904L.

2507 can also be used in dilute hydrochloric acid, which can seriously corrode 316L stainless steel.

2507 ultra duplex stainless steel is mainly used in seawater related applications, chemical processing, and other chloride environments.

Due to limitations in the availability of metal wires and screens in the market, the 2507 metal wire screen and sintered metal wire screen only have a few micrometer rating, such as 50100150200 micrometers. Please feel free to contact us and check if there are any other available options.

Double 2507 stainless steel perforated metal plates/tubes and wedge-shaped metal wire filter elements are widely supplied primary filter elements. The filter tube filter used for automatic self-cleaning filters is the most popular filtering element in filtration applications. Other components, such as basket filters and filter cartridges/candles, are also suitable for harsh applications handling tricky chemicals.
